Today we went to Norwich Cathedral to continue our learning about Edith Cavell, a brave nurse from the Norfolk area. We were taken around the cathedral by Edith herself, who told us all about her life and her story, including her dog, Jack! We were able to visit her grave and learn about remembrance within the cathedral, as well as about a soldier named George and his life and experiences during World War One. Then, we made our own poppies and considered what qualities the soldiers and nurses during World War One, and other conflicts, must have.
We really enjoyed our time at the cathedral, and learned a lot. Miss Evans would also like to add how proud she is of years 2 and 3 for their excellent behaviour today, and thank you to everyone who helped!
